On 8 December 2017, an international conference entitled “3D printing for casting engineering” was held as part of celebrations of the Polish Day of Foundry Engineers and the 80th anniversary of Przegląd Odlewnictwa, the Foundry Journal of the Polish Foundrymen’s Association, under the auspices of the World Foundry Organization, dedicated to 3D printing technology in foundry engineering. The conference was attended by representatives of world’s market leaders in 3D printing, including ExOne, Arrk, Voxeljet and Omega Foundry Machinery. One of the most important elements in the agenda was the panel entitled ”Innovations in the Procedures of Technology Transfer from Science to Industry” executed as part of the DIALOG 0047/2016 programme.
