On 25 May 2018, an interdisciplinary student conference was held at the Institute of Sociology at Jagiellonian University titled “Mediation in Youth Work”.
During the conference, issues related to mediation were addressed, including Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) as one of the forms mediation and use of this method in work with youth aged 13 to 30.
The conference was attended by many practitioners, educators, mediators, representatives of NGOs, persons engaged in youth work, as well as students of sociology, pedagogy, and resocialisation.
The round-table environment provided an occasion for meetings and discussions with representatives of five international NGOs from Poland, Estonia, Italy, Norway, and Great Britain – participants of the two-year, international “First ADR Kit” project.
