Whispered interpreting ANGOS Kraków - Translation Agency ANGOS Poland

Whispered interpreting, also called chuchotage, is a type of simultaneous translation for one person or a small group of people (2-3 people) without using interpreting booth and headphones. It often takes place in situations that require translating, on an ongoing basis, what is happening during events like international celebrations, business talks or meetings.

Whispered interpreting requires from the translator a lot of experience and knowledge of specialized vocabulary, as well as the ability to maintain high concentration for a long time.This is because in whispered interpreting, unlike in simultaneous interpreting in cabin, the translator has no substitute.

We provided whispered interpreting in German during the ceremonies of the annual Academic Remembrance Day, which took place on November 6, 2019.

At the Jagiellonian University, as at other Krakow universities, the memory of the victims of Sonderaktion Krakau carried out by the German occupiers exactly 80 years ago was honored. A delegation of the Jagiellonian University laid flowers and lit candles on the graves of distinguished Krakow professors at the Rakowicki Cemetery.

In the context of the celebration of the Academic Remembrance Day, a ceremony dedicated to the memory of murdered Polish professors was held in the auditorium of Collegium Novum. It ended with a reading of the Appeal of Remembrance, laying flowers at the Oak of Freedom and under commemorative plaques at Collegium Novum.
